Select Series Agate Stripping Guides
Introducing our new line of Select Agate Stripping Guides, made from Brazilian Agate. Perfect for an extra-special custom rod, the colors of this material are intense and the banding is awesome. We have created our own tooling and equipment to process this beautiful material. We offer stripping guides in 8mm, 9mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, and 20mm in a multitude of colors. This Brazilian Agate is the finest in the world!

The stripping guides are made with the same quality and attention to detail as our other Agate and Agatine Stripping Guides, with rings set in nickel silver bands and hand-soldered to quality frames. You will truly enjoy the unique and eye-catching quality of these stripping guides on your custom rods!

Color Types for the Select Series
Color Type 1: These agates have alternating bands of light red/orange and dark red/orange there may also be clear bands mixed in as well. All bands will be well defined. These stones would look great on lighter rods.

Color Type 2: Many of the stones have both light and darker amber coloring. Unlike series 1 any banding will not be as distinct, these agates are a rich warm tone which would look great on either a light toned or dark toned rod.

Color Type 3: These stones tend toward darker tones. We try to pick stones with nice banding for darker toned rods.

Color Type 4: Stones in this series are unique in that they will at times have black bands or mottling in them. Some of the stones look like the antique hair and brush sets that were made from Tortoise-Shell of years gone by. Of all of our stones the black is the most difficult to come by. We have requested the mine owners that we work with to try to find more nodules that would yield these colors.

We also have many stones with brown tones, light stones with light amber and white bands. We are in the process of photographing more stones to exhibit the spectrum of stones that we have in our inventories. We enjoy speaking with the rod builders and assisting in their selection of stones for that special rod that they are building. We are also going to feature some new stones that are an Emerald Green with bright white bands. They are awesome on a green graphite blank.

Agate Stripping Guides

Synthetic agates reminiscent of the 40's and 50's. Great for refinishing projects or on your custom rods.
